Butterfly with Flowers Spinners Control Tool. This WPI (Wraps per Inch) Ruler and Twist Angle Gauge combo tool is made from maple wood and is used to identify the gauge of a yarn.
The twist angle gauge for yarn spinning tells the angle of twist from 0-90 in increments of 10 degrees and designates S or Z twist. To measure twist angle, lay your yarn across the wood and match the twist to the closest twist angle line. Great for spinners to check to make sure they are keeping the ply twist consistent.
